Hi-SET
Prepare for Your High School Equivalency
The HiSET program helps adult learners prepare for the high school equivalency exam. Students receive instruction in core academic subjects and build the confidence needed to continue their education, enter workforce training, or pursue employment opportunities.
Students Learn:
- Reading skills
- Writing skills
- Math skills
- Science concepts
- Social studies concepts
- Test preparation strategies
Credential:
Students who successfully complete the HiSET pathway and pass the required exam will earn a high school equivalency diploma.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must reside in Berks County
- Valid Picture ID
- Completion of enrollment paperwork
- Meeting with a case worker to review next steps
English as a Second Language
Build English Skills for Work, Training, and Daily Life
The Vocational ESL program helps adult learners improve English language skills for everyday communication, employment, and future workforce training. Students practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing while also learning language connected to work, training, and professional settings.
Students Learn :
- Speaking and conversation skills
- Listening comprehension
- Reading practice
- Writing practice
- Workplace vocabulary
- Communication for work and daily life
Certificate :
Students who complete Vocational ESL may receive a Certificate of Achievement from Tec Centro Berks.
